From the moment I arrived, the breathtaking location high above the river and vineyards provided a serene setting for relaxation and enjoyment. the terrace, where I spent most of my time, offered unparalleled views of the River Douro and the surrounding nature, creating a peaceful ambiance perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. the traditional yet modern room design, with its charming wooden floors and shutters, added a touch of authenticity to the experience, making me feel completely at ease. The attention to detail at Villa Auri was truly remarkable. the staff's warmth and friendliness made me feel at home, while the wine and olive oil tasting was a delightful culinary experience that I won't soon forget. the dinner offerings were not only delicious but also reasonably priced, allowing me to savor the flavors of Portugal without breaking the bank. the presence of two adorable dogs on the premises added a touch of charm to the already idyllic atmosphere. the amenities provided, such as the comfortable room, beautiful pool area, and impeccable cleanliness, truly made Villa Auri stand out. the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction, evident in their special attention to allergies during meals and the availability of laundry service, was commendable. I can't recommend this hidden gem highly enough and eagerly look forward to returning in the future.
